Representation of conflicting interests
According to professional regulations (sec. 43a Para. 4 BRAO), lawyers are prohibited from representing conflicting interests. This must therefore be verified before accepting a client.

 

Out-of-court settlements
In the case of disputes between lawyers and their clients it is possible to apply for an out-of-court settlement with the Stuttgart Chamber of Lawyers (in accordance with sec. 73 Para. 2 No. 3 with sec. 73 Para. 5 BRAO) or with the dispute settlement body of the Federal Chamber of Lawyers (sec. 191f BRAO). This can be found on the Federal Chamber of Lawyers’ internet website (www.brak.de), or by e-mail: schlichtungsstelle@brak.de.
